Step 1: Access Business Settings

  1. Go to SettingsBusiness Settings.

  2. Some fields may already be populated from onboarding, including your website, business email, and phone number. You can update these anytime.

Step 2: Update Business Email

  • Your business email is where default replies are sent for automated quotes and invoices.

  • Make sure it’s current if you want replies to go to a specific inbox.

Step 3: Set Business Phone Number

  • This number appears on your quotes and invoices as your main contact.

  • It does not have to match the phone number assigned to your Rotor account.

Step 4: Configure Business Hours

Business hours help control when automations and job scheduling occur:

  • Prevent messages from going out late at night (e.g., texts at 2 a.m.).

  • Set default hours for job scheduling.

  • Adjust for weekends or shorter workdays as needed.

  • Set your time zone here.

  • When working from a different time zone, the business time displays in the top right corner—all scheduling follows the business timezone.

  • Override business hours when needed to schedule tasks or jobs outside standard times.

Step 5: Set Tax Rates

  • Add and manage multiple tax rates if you operate in a state with sales tax.

  • Choose a default tax rate to automatically apply sales tax to invoices after jobs are completed.

  • Rotor handles all calculations in the background.

Step 6: Customize Business Theme

  • Upload your logo and set your brand colors.

  • Colors are applied to communications, default forms, and the customer portal.

  • Match colors to your logo using the color picker or eyedropper tool.

  • Save changes when satisfied.

Tips for Using Business Settings Effectively

  • Keep your business email and phone number up to date to avoid missed communications.

  • Set business hours accurately to control automations and job scheduling.

  • Use the default tax rate to simplify invoicing.

  • Customize branding to create a professional, consistent look for your customers.

Congratulations! Your Business Settings are now configured, giving you a solid foundation for sending quotes, scheduling jobs, and interacting with customers in Rotor.
