Custom salesmen permissions

Another thing is for my salesman. In the leads & customers on the app they can only see leads or customers they created. They can see all leads and customers on the map. Which great but the problem is they would have to created a whole nother lead or customer pin and contact to be able to edit or sign up on a service plan. For a work around right now I made my salesman and admin so he can edit leads/customers from anyone.

For the future as I bring on more salesman I don’t want give them the admin abilities but I want them to be able to edit leads/customers created by someone else.

    Definitely agree with this. A way to manage permissions for more experienced sales reps to follow up on leads from other sources and beginner sales reps to only have access to leads created independently would be great.

    For example we have incentives for technicians to create SGL’s (Self Generated Leads) when they are cleaning a home if say a neighbour wants a quote a tech would get their information, track the customers information (Side note: tracking addressees on leads would be beneficial especially for converting them to customer), assign themself to the lead (A way to track technician SGL’s would be great), and then message the experienced sales rep (One who has permissions to access these leads) to follow up.

    Our thought process with this is that we wanted to try to mitigate any risk of salesman managing customers or leads that they shouldn’t/that they didn’t sign up. However I can see what you are saying here. What we’ll likely need to do is build some kind of custom permission configuration as I know there are a lot of our users who value the limited permissions but that may not be the case for everyone.

    Can you think of anything else in particular you know you’d like your salesmen to be able to do/not do?

      I agree entirely there needs to be limited permissions. I do think a great idea of setting up a way to configure certain abilities for salesman would be beneficial. Allow the owner to customize what specific employees can do based off experience and needs.

      I don’t have any other ideas at the moment but I am sure I will come up with some as time goes on.
